Path Across PebblesThe beach between the pretty Olimpos Lodge resort villa complex and the Mediterranean is of fine-to-coarse limestone and marble pebbles, so the hotel built a boardwalk to reach it. Maybe fine sand is what some visitors prefer, but I like the pebbles: they're pleasantly smooth, pretty and tactile, and they don't stick to your skin the way sand does! The sea water is fine, clean and warm, with no big towns nearby. Olimpos, 80 km (50 miles) southwest of Antalya, is a truly pretty spot, and a favorite of backpackers, who stay not at the fine Olimpos Lodge but at the renowned Kadir's Tree House on the other side of the valley.
