The road through the vineyards to Izmir
Koleji, where I taught
English as a Peace Corps Volunteer, 1967-1968.
A decade or so after this photo was taken
(1983), a wide two-lane road was built to
the right. The pine-shaded lane is still
there, but the tranquillity is not.
