From Office 23 of the Istanbul Main Bus Terminal (Büyük Otogar), buses go to the southeastern cities of Adana, Antakya and Iskenderun in the province of Hatay, with onward buses to Halep (Halab, Aleppo) and Sam (Dimashk, damascus) in Syria.

Other buses go from Istanbul to Mardin and Silopi near the Iraqi border.

Still other buses go from Istanbul to Aksaray in Turkey's Aegean region.
