NevTur buses depart Office 24 of the Istanbul Main Bus Terminal (Büyük Otogar) twice daily at 20:30 (8:30 pm) and 21:30 (9:30 pm) on the 11-hour journey to Cappadocia (Avanos, Göreme, Nevsehir, Ürgüp). See also Offices 18 and 28 for similar routes.

Other companies run buses from Istanbul to Aksaray (8, 29), Nigde (27), and Kayseri (34, 40, 47-48, 59, 63, 65, 66, 70, 77, 89, 143, 150) on the outskirts of Cappadocia.

Other buses go from Istanbul to Amasya, Düzce, Erbaa, Hendek, Kangal, Merzifon and Sivas.
