There are three daily trains between Ankara and Izmir (Basmane), all of which run at night. Two haul sleeping cars, and the third offers "covered couchettes:"

9 Eylül Ekspresi
This is the fastest, most comfortable and most expensive, departing at 20:00 (8 pm) and making the journey in 13-1/2 hours. More...
