Kayakapi Premium Caves – Cappadocia

Last Updated on August 11, 2022

Kayakapi Premium Caves - Cappadocia is located in one of the first settlement zones in Cappadocia’s city of Urgup. Urgup has a true, unique local feel as opposed to Goreme - a village packed with tourists that is currently more commercialized than ever.

Conveniently located, this cave hotel sits at one of the highest points in town overlooking incredible views of Cappadocia. Additionally, the whole property is a historic site in Turkey.

Kayakapi Premium Caves - Cappadocia is owned by the Dinler Group, one of the most well-known and trusted travel agencies in Turkey. The Dinler Group owns hotels in Cappadocia and Royal Balloons.

Booking a balloon trip in Turkey can certainly be difficult with availabilities constantly full. With the difficulty of booking a balloon trip, it definitely doesn’t hurt to stay at a cave hotel with one of the largest balloon companies in the area. While there are no promises, Kayakapi Premium Caves - Cappadocia does give their guests a preference on when to book a balloon trip.

On my recent trip to Turkey, I visited the property and found excellent service and amenities. While breakfast in Cappadocia typically is great, breakfast at Kayakapi Premium Caves - Cappadocia was among the best. Additionally, this luxurious hotel has a beautiful pool and outdoor seating area where you can take in the breathtaking views of Cappadocia.

Each of the standard rooms have a tremendous value for the price, and the suites are top-end with swimming pools, private elevators, and unique historic pieces as decor.

If you don’t mind a short walk, a 10-15 minute downhill walk will take you right into town easily.

History

Kayakapi Cave Suites is located in the Kayakapi Neighborhood, one of Urgup’s first residential areas, and is located in the boundaries of the Goreme National Park and Rock Sites of Cappadocia which were included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1985.

During the 18th and 19th centuries, despite being a Muslim neighborhood, the Orthodox population began to grow in Urgup which led to an increase in rock churches and increased the impressions that Christianity was thriving in Urgup long before. Today, the House of Saint John the Russian in Kayakapi is one of the most popular stops for world leaders and tourism in Turkey alike.

Additionally, there are churches, mosques, baths, fountains and more registered or proposed to be registered and over 20 units of cultural/historical and natural property that is legally protected.

Because of the strong relationship we’ve had with this historic hotel for years, be sure to mention that Turkey Travel Planner sent you.
