Naz Wooden House Hotel in Sultanahmet

We have just had a very enjoyable short break in Istanbul, staying at Naz Wooden House Inn. The hotel is ideally situated in the Sultanahmet area, a short walk away from the Blue Mosque and other sights. Despite the cold weather outside, the hotel was warm and welcoming. Free wi-fi was a pleasant bonus, and we loved the buffet breakfast. The views from the roof terrace (accessed via a spiral staircase) were stunning.

Highly recommended for travellers who like to stay somewhere with character - a bit different from the chain hotels!

We stayed at the Deniz Konak Hotel in May 2011 with a similar experience. Great location and a great hotel. Walking distance to a number of key places as well as easy access to public transportation.
