Flights start between Gazipaşa and Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen

Flights between the Gazipaşa district of the Mediterranean province Antalya and Istanbul started Friday. Private airline Borajet started its scheduled flights between Gazipaşa and Istanbul after a break. The first Borajet flight to Gazipaşa departed from Istanbul’s Asian side airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 3:25 p.m. Borajet Sales Development Manager Murat Ulaşmış said the flights are now scheduled for Friday and Sunday, only but they would be extended to other days of the week depending on the interest of the local population in Alanya, Gazipaşa, Anamur and surroundings. Hope this helps,

Got this off wikipedia
Hope this is of some help;

The Dutch low-cost airline Transavia.com (chartered by touroperator Neckermann) however will be the very first international airline to operate charterflights to and from Gazipasa airfield with a small Boeing 737-700 (max. 149 passengers), every wednesday from 27th April 2011 till end of October. From 2nd July 2011 Neckermann already added extra flights to Gazipasa every saturday (next to the wednesday-flights). Touroperator Neckermann (Thomas Cook promotes Gazipasa in Holland with a special Alanya brochure with the slogan: 'Directly to Alanya Airport'.

Alanya patriots are lobbying for the name of the airport to include ‘Alanya’ claiming that Gazipasa isn’t well known outside of Turkey. So far there has been no official comment from TAV or the Ministry of Tourism regarding the name.
