Help with planning upcoming trip.

Post by Adeline35 » Tue Apr 19, 2016 1:12 am

Looking for suggestions for a nice hotel in Pamukkale. Also would appreciate recommendations for a couple places to set up a base on the Mediterranean coast. We've been considering the Datca peninsula, Dalyan, Fethiye or Kas areas. We'd like to see ruins, enjoy the beach, and go for a day cruise or two. It's our hope to find quieter hotels that are not inundated with tourists.
One other question for now, can we rent car easily at Izmir airport or should we reserve a vehicle before we arrive? Thanks so much

In Pamukkale I always recommend the Venus Hotel because I've stayed there 3 times and have been happy with it.
If I had a higher budget I might try the Hal-Tur overlooking the travertines.

Patara might be a good option for a quiet place on the coast, and close to several ancient Lycian sites.

Re: car - I don't know, but I think I would book in advance.
