We stayed in a delightful inexpensive hotel in Urgup, Cappadocia Palace. I found Urgup a better town to stay in than Goreme because Goreme is nothing but tourist. In Urgup we were invited to a turkish wedding, tea with the local men and explored lots of cave dwellings on the edge of town.
Cappadocia Palace is a great hotel with a wonderful cave room for breakfast, hanging out and there is a great staff including Bekir and Jusuf who are well versed in English and very helpful.
