Comments on lodgings in other Turkish cities and towns

We stayed at the beginning of May at this small pension in the village of Kapikiri Koyu and loved it (www.herakleia.com). The rooms are small but the communal areas are spacious. The cuisine is wonderful and unusual. The pension is as its name suggests on the old Agora and the village is built from and around the remains of a classical site. The pension owners' son speaks reasonable English and is most helpful and knowledgeable about the area. It is an hour from Bodrum Airport and I could happily have spent several days there walking and relaxing in the mountains and by the lake without a car. In the morning and evening a procession of ladies with cows, children with goats and men on donkeys passed the pension on their way to work.
