Books On Ataturk

Post by saladin 239 » Sun Jun 04, 2006 9:33 am

There a quite a few books on Ataturk.Read recently the one by Andrew Mango: very detailed albeit quite dry and heavy going.I heard Lord Kinross's book is also quite good.If i was looking for a definitive and balanced book on Ataturk's life, what would it be?.

On a different subject, are there any books (in english) on the Turkish War of Independence?>Cant seem to find any .

Thanks.

Friends,
I, too, am interested in a book (that isn't dry) on Ataturk and the War of Independence.

One gentleman I met told me a lot of the history and what Ataturk did to help the country. He had a lot of knowledge and I took as many notes as I could.
