Tom, I bought your book at Bookshop in Istanbul on Divan Yolu. There were two different copies, and I just picked one and bought it. There were some copying mistakes in the book that made me wonder if it was a photocopy. I hope it wasn't. I didn't think that Bookshop, after being in that location for so long, would sell photocopies of a book.

Interesting. It's certainly possible that someone has ripped off my work.

When I was still authoring the Lonely Planet Turkey guidebook, a Spanish publisher translated the entire book and published it as his own. Lonely Planet had to find a lawyer in Madrid to sue him to stop. We then found a legitimate publisher to publish an authorized Spanish edition.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.
