Something like "Tahta İzin için efendim"

The reply will probably be "Senin salak sin"

 :?

Comrade, I am former Signal officer :D

The previous answer is wrong.

If I am not wrong you want to enter a boat or a ship. If I am right the permission will be:

"Güverteye çıkmak için izin istiyorum."
Güverte : board
Güverteye : To the board
or
"Gemiye çıkmak için izin istiyorum"

Gemi: ship

On the other hand there is no such a custom at privat gulets or boats. you just say the captain or crew "Binebilir miyim?"
(Can I enter the boat?) As a passenger of the gulet you just simply enter the boad.

PS In Turkish Navy we dont ask the guard for a permission. A visiting enlisted man enters the ship and salutes the Turkish flag and talks to the men on guard what he wants to do.

Much appreciated sir.

Rahatsız ettim. teşekkür ederim

Fine boat that will be flying the Turkish flag.

I will salute the flag and say, "Benim ismim Michael ... kiralayan taraf. Binebilir miyim?" My name is Michael ... charterer. Can I enter the boat?

Is this correct?

p.s. As former enlisted marine I feel obligated to show proper respect to Turish colors while informing the crew that their work is for my pleasure as I follow seniz kuralları (rules of the sea).

Hello tertip [*]Michael, You dont "rahatsız etmek" me. I am very glad to know you virtually. If the warm winds of Mediterranean sails you to Ankara. I would be very pleased to drink a beer with you.
:D [*]We call other enlisted man in the army "Tertip"

I will salute the flag and say, "Benim ismim Michael ... kiralayan taraf. Binebilir miyim?" My name is Michael ... charterer. Can I enter the boat?

There is no such rule in Turkish privat gulets. You dont salute Turkish colors. If you wish you can do that. Some gulets have the flag at the back some have at the mast. You just salute the crew infont of the gulet waiting the passengers.
"Merhaba Hemşerim, Benim adım Michael. Ben sizin yolcunuzum. Binebilir miyim?
(Hello Seaman, My name is Michael. I am your passenger. Can I enter the boat?)

Hemşerim means : landsman, A man from the same village or place. In this case : Seaman

Have a nice trip

Glad to know you virtually as well Tosun.

Know that there is no such rule (saluting colors) for privately chartered boats but I find it proper respect and I would certainly salute and ask permission just as I did the one time I boarded a private, crewed yacht flying the US flag.

I have to agree that this would be quite unusual for a private charter boat. Very in fact.
