A foriegn owned company to buy turkish land?

Post by garrym » Mon Oct 09, 2006 9:19 pm

Hi, three Brits are planning to buy some land and then build three villas. I have heard that it is wise to do this as a FID(?). Anyone know the adavantages and pitfalls and how easy it is to form a foriegn owned company?

This is probably too late for you but may be of benefit to others.

Be careful about registering an FDI for property as when you subsequently sell you have VAT to pay and you have to wind the company up which can take a long time here.
because not all estate agents are the same
