Importing furniture?

Post by Jeroen » Tue Sep 30, 2008 10:02 am

The restoration of our olive oil factory is nearly finished. (www.villaolivio.com)
We want to import furniture from the netherlands.

What do we have to expect at the customs?
Is there a difference between used furniture and new furniture if imported?

Don't try importing your furniture into Turkey unless you already have a Residence Permit. There's a good chance that you'll end-up being refused entry, paying a huge "tax", having your stuff impounded or ALL of those things.

Well, if you have an RP it won't be a problem. Sorry, I'll rephrase that.................you'll have fewer problems and a little less "tax" to pay.
