Excursion from Istanbul *tomorrow*. Would love some advice!

Post by kdern » Thu May 16, 2013 11:16 pm

My wife and I are in Istanbul for our first visit - today was our fourth full day and we would like to take a day trip out of the city tomorrow. We have already seen most of the areas in the New City, Old City and Kadikoy that are visited by tourists. I really enjoyed Kadikoy, especially the Moda neighborhood - very few tourists and lots of great shops.

We are considering either Buyukada or Uskudar. Any suggestions on which to visit? Or any other place? (We considered Bursa but it seems too far for a day trip.)

Thanks for any advice - it's 10 PM here are we are planning to leave around 9:30 AM tomorrow. Need advice!

(Also - do you know if any beach clubs or pools on Buyukada would be open this time of year?)
