I recently traveled to Istanbul for 6 nights with my blonde curly haired girlfriend. One of the big downers of our visit was the constant and unending leers we got from most of the Turkish men. I would look at men's eyes as we were walking and almost all of them were always looking at my partners chest. She is larger chested then most women but this continued despite what she was wearing, none of which were revealing. The only solution was when we bought a scarf and she started wearing it around covering her front. The stares became less but she still got a lot of attention.
As a male I certainly can appreciate a good looking woman but I was quite disgusted and very pissed off at the way the Turkish men behaved. The leers were on a whole new level.
Tips, comments and warnings for women traveling in Turkey.
