Quiet Lake Retreat
The tranquil town of Eğirdir (eh-EER-deer; formerly Eğridir) clings to a hillside along the shore of placid Lake Eğirdir in Turkey’s lake country north of Antalya. Two islands, connected by a causeway to the mainland, extend the town far out into the lake’s placid, fish-filled waters.
Eğirdir is a fine place to stop in the midst of your journey for a few days of quiet rest and contempation. Swimming, boating and hiking can fill a few days if you want to be active.
