Become a Content Writer for Turkey Travel Planner
Turkey Travel Planner is looking for part-time Content Writers to join our team. Writers will be responsible for covering several beats, from historical sites throughout the country to local foodie insights to just about any travel tip imaginable. You’ll leverage our partnership contacts on the ground for scoops and exclusive news; write trends features; and collaborate with others on special projects.
What You'll Do
- Write stories and helpful tip features that cover a wide range of Turkey travel topics
- Research and gather information on local attractions, culture, and events
- Leverage a network of industry contacts and executives for scoops and exclusives
- Write engaging and informative articles that showcase the unique aspects of each destination which include widely-read guides and service features
- Edit and polish existing content to improve readability and engagement
- Conduct keyword research and use SEO best practices with your content to increase traffic to the company website.
- Collaborate with editors who live in Turkey to produce high-quality and carefully edited content that meets quantity and quality expectations while adhering to content and style guidelines
- Be featured and develop your expertise and reputation as a thought leader in the travel industry through widely-read guides and service features
What We're Looking For
- Writers based in Turkey who are available to go on-site to capture photos and videos
- Excellent writing and grammar skills in English
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Track record traveling and writing about your experiences
- Solid background in news-gathering, reporting, and feature writing
- Ability to work remotely and independently
- A flexible team player that can seamlessly switch from writing news coverage to developing in-depth features and special projects
- Commitment to writing and producing content and meeting or exceeding expected deadlines
- Experience using WordPress to publish website content a plus
- Experience with SEO optimization of digital content preferred
