This message, received on April 6, 2016 from a traveler with an Islamic name, is poignant in its brevity, but it expresses perfectly what I fear: that the world’s view of traditional Turkish hospitlity, which is so wonderful, will be perverted by these robberies, and travelers will stay away.
Ironically, this will hurt the robbers’ interests as much as the interests of all the legitimate Turkish tourism businesses.
