Rock-Ledge “Beaches” of Kaş
Kaş has a few small pebbly beaches. In the old days, when locals never approached the water except to go fishing, this was fine.
Nowadays, foreign visitors are attracted by Kaş‘s unhurried Mediterranean ambience come to stay for several days, and would like to have a swim in the sea while they’re here.
The problem is solved by flattening portions of the limestone shore, then cutting steps or dropping ladders into the sea from them. These “Kaş beaches” are hardly Patara or Ölüdeniz, but it is a cool dip in the Mediterranean.
