The Nişanyan Hotel started with an old house in a location at the very top of the picturesque village of Şirince, 8 km (5 miles) east of Selçuk.
Once restored, with modernized services and landscaped grounds, it became a good base for visits to Şirince and beyond.
The inn, originally named Nişanyan Evleri (Nişanyan Houses) has now expanded into a hotel with several types of accommodations:
— The Inn, a restored Mediterranean village house with five rooms, all with private bathrooms. The excellent dining room with superb village and valley views is also in the Inn.
— The İlyastepe Cottages, several charming rustic cottages on the hillside above the Inn, near the swimming pool.
— The Houses, several restored houses in the village below, rented by the day, complete with furnishings, a breakfast basket including fresh farm eggs, fresh-baked bread, and home-made country jam, daily housekeeping service, fireplaces and firewood, telephone, and central heating for chilly winter days.
