Göreme is set in a valley with fairly steep sides. The center of town at the valley floor has a few lodgings, but most are set on narrow winding lanes up the slopes, more or less of a climb from the center. Keep locationin mind when you look for a hotel.
Here are my favorite places to stay in Göreme Town:
Kelebek Boutique Hotel
This longstanding, highly-regarded small hotel is in several nicely restored traditional Cappadocian houses, which allows it to have all the modern conveniences along with traditional Cappadocian atmosphere. Rooms come in a variety of sizes, shapes and prices. The adjoining Sultan Cave Suites offers more room and a refined atmosphere. More…
Kısmet Cave House
Who said a cave can’t be colorful? Mr Faruk Keleş’s cave rooms are bright with colorful local cloths, handicrafts, and artistic murals. More…
Cappadocia Cave Suites
Mr Bora Özkök is something of a legend in Turkish tourism lore because of his personally-guided cultural tours. He’s now restored cave accommodations in Göreme Town. More…
Aydınlı Cave Hotel
This small (6-room) lodging, built into several “fairy chimney” cones, has all the advantages of staying in Göreme, plus comfort and a family welcome. More…
Lots More Göreme Hotels
These are just a few of the ones I prefer. Göreme has lots more hotels and pensions from which to choose. Use this handy Hotel Search Box to check room rates, availability, location and facilities to find just the accommodation you want:
