Big City, Uncrowded Beach
Okay, on weekends it’s going to be more crowded.
But still, Antalya (population: over one million) doesn’t fill up spacious Konyaaltı Plaj, even though the beach is easy to reach via the tram line or dolmush minibus from the city center.
The beach of rough sand and small pebbles is well cared for, and the beach and sea rate a Blue Flag for being clean and clear. Shady walks, benches, drinks stands and restaurants are set back from the water, with parking lots just inland from them.
Ah! You can’t beat that view of the Beydağları Mountains in the distance to the west, on the way to Olimpos.
