Ankara‘s Esenboğa (ESS-enn-boh-ah) Airport is 33 km (21 miles) northeast of the city center (map).
It’s served by frequent daily flights to and from Istanbul operated by Turkish Airlines, AnadoluJet, Atlasjet, Pegasus Airlines, Onur Air, and others. More…
Other flights connect Ankara with cities and major Turkish airports to the east and south, but there are few international flights to or from Ankara, except by way of Istanbul‘s Atatürk International Airport or Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.
Belkoair airport buses travel between Esenboğa and the city center on the hour and half hour from 05:00 am to 24:00 (12:00 midnight), and on the hour at 01:00, 02:00, 03:00, and 04:00 am. Buses go to AŞTİ (main bus terminal), Kızılay, where you can board the Ankara Metro and Ankaray suburban trains.
The trip to or from the airport takes about 45 minutes (perhaps more during evening rush hour) and costs TL8 one-way.
