Kapıağası Sokak (that’s “kah-PUH-ah-ah-suh”) is a side street leading downhill off Küçük Ayasofya Caddesi just a few blocks from Istanbul‘s Blue Mosque and Hippodrome.
It’s a real “neighborhood” street rather than a “tourist” street, and is fairly quiet, with little traffic, yet Istanbul‘s major sights are within a few minutes’ walk.
The most notable hotel on Kapıağası Sokak is the Dersaadet Oteli, a wonderful recreation of Ottoman Istanbul—with all mod cons.
