Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul, on Tevkifhane Sokak, may be the best deluxe hotel in Turkey. Bosphorus views from the rooftop terrace, and it’s perfectly located within a few minutes’ walk of the city’s top sights. It’s often fully booked, so reserve well in advance!
Family-Run Boutique Inn
Sarı Konak Oteli is really elegant for a small, family-run inn: tastefully furnished, with all the conveniences, and Byzantine ruins in the tiny terrace garden.
More than you bargained for: the Apricot Hotel is convenient, comfortable and friendly, and the owner is out to make guests feel they’ve received more than they’ve paid for.
Terrace Guesthouse is tiny, but surprisingly inexpensive, given its perfect location just around the corner from the posh Four Seasons Hotel. It has what the Four Seasons conspicuously lacks: a grand view of the Bosphorusfrom its breakfast terrace.
The Hotel Niles in Beyazıt has both regular rooms and beautiful Ottoman-stylejunior suites with superb marble bathrooms and fine decoration, all in an interesting neighborhood close to the Grand Bazaar.
