Kurşunlu Waterfall Guide

Ready for a little escape from busy city life? Come and visit Kurşunlu Şelalesi found in Aksu/Antalya. Although located a bit outside of the city center, it is one of those places that you wouldn’t want to skip when you come to Antalya. It’s a nice place to visit especially in the hot summer, where you can cool off and enjoy its natural beauty. The water flows from 18 m (59 feet) height, creating beautiful scenery. As it started to gain popularity, this place was turned into a natural park, and picnic areas, walking trails, and children's areas were added to it. It's a nice place to go with your family or friends on a weekend.

Transportation

There is a lot of misinformation on the internet about how to get to Kursunlu Waterfall. The first time I attempted to get there, I had to transfer almost 6 vehicles until I was on the right way to the waterfall.

If you attempt to go by car, it’s super easy and takes only about 30-40 minutes to get there. Follow the Antalya - Mersin highway, once you reach Aksu, take the D685 exit towards Isparta. After 5.5 km (3.4 miles) turn right onto Kurşunlu Şelalesi Yolu (Kursunlu Waterfall Road), and you’ll arrive. There are tons of parking lots, so you can leave your car there.

Public Transportation

If you come by public transportation, that is where all things get more tricky. But don’t worry, I’ll explain how to get there without any confusion. It will take around 2 hours to arrive.

To begin with, just get on whichever bus that takes you to a tram station, where you can take T1A and T1B. Once you get there take a tram going towards EXPO; it will be highlighted on the tram. Get off at the AKSU station, and cross the street onto İsmail Ogan Street. If you have trouble finding it, you can ask someone around you. After walking around 100m (330 feet), you will see a bus station, and there is where you will have to take a minibus towards the waterfall. Take the bus called MK81, but you might not see the “MK” written on the bus. If you see “81” then you’ll know it’s right. Keep in mind that this minibus only passes ONCE AN HOUR, so if you miss it you will have to wait an extra hour. After 30 minutes you will reach the waterfall.

Tour

If you don’t want to bother with transportation, you can also go for a single-day tour option to Kurşunlu Waterfall. They will pick you up at a specified location within the city and give you some time to visit the waterfall, then bring you back to your original location.

Entrance Costs

Before you enter there is a counter where you can buy your ticket. It is inexpensive and the price differs between adults and students. Kids under 6 receive free entrance.

Nearby Attractions

Besides this, you can combine your waterfall visit with the nearby ruins of Perge and try a great local restaurant.  Check out the day trip itinerary here.
