A nightly sleeper train runs between İzmir (Basmane Station) and Konya, the Konya Mavi Tren.
It can be a link in your trip between Cappadocia and İzmir or Ephesus. You go by bus or rental car between Konya and Cappadocia, with the train completing the journey and, incidentally, acting as a budget-priced hotel while you ride. More…
The train departs İzmir (Basmane) at 21:05 (9:05 pm) hauling Pullman, couchette and sleeping car, and a dining car. Stopping at Manisa, Afyon and Uşak along the way, it arrives in Konya at 09:28 am the next morning (if it’s on time).
From Konya, departure is at 19:30 (7:30 pm), stopping at Afyon at 00:18 (12:18 am), and arriving in İzmir (Basmane) at 07:17 am, although he last time I rode this train it was 45 minutes late arriving in İzmir.

High-speed trains may some day connect Konya and İzmir, at which time the Konya Mavi Tren may be withdrawn from service.
