Ortahisar, one of Cappadocia's less discovered and touristy towns, has fewer places to stay than its neighbors, but this can be a virtue if you're looking for a place to get away from it all.
One of my favorites here is the 10-room Hezen Cave Hotel.Follow the little signs around town to find the unlikely, narrow street leading down to the hotel's hidden location. Parking—and, more so, turning your car around—can be a challenge, but once you're settled in, the views are among the best in Ortahisar:
All is beautifully done in public rooms and guest rooms and suites, and the town center is only a 10-minute walk away.
