The sober dark wood-and-glass façade of the Robinson Crusoe bookshop was a fixture on Istanbul's İstiklal Caddesi, not far from Galatasaray Square, for many years, but in June 2014 the store was forced to move to a less expensive location nearby.
Look for the shelves of guidebooks and stories about Istanbul and Turkey (including Turkey: Bright Sun, Strong Tea), with a large selection of other titles elsewhere in the shop.
You can also order books, in both English and Turkish, from the useful Robinson Crusoe website.
In either case, Robinson Crusoe is a fine bookstore in its new location above the SALT Beyoğlu Gallery.
