One of the crucial ways to get to know Istanbul is to experience its Bosphorus (Boğaz), which divides the city into two. The best way to do this is to take a ferry tour or even a short ferry ride using Istanbul ferries. If you're interested in a longer tour, there are also Bosphorus tours available, whether you prefer a lunch tour or a sunset Bosphorus tour.
İstanbul Ferries
Ferries operate as a means of transportation when passing from the European side to the Anatolian side, or you can explore the Bosphorus and the waterside mansions (yalı) by taking a tour with a guide.
There are companies in Istanbul where you can get these services. While two of them are private companies, Turyol and Dentur, and one is a public enterprise owned by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi -İBB), Şehir Hatları (City Lines).
You can also board these ferries for the same price with your Istanbulkart or contactless credit card.
You can access the map of Şehir Hatları here.
Below is an Istanbul ferry map which shows the ferry system:
You can check the websites of Dentur, Turyol, and Şehir Hatları to see detailed and up-to-date information about their schedules.
