Taksim Square and İstiklal Caddesi are where Istanbullus come to stroll, shop, drink, dine, have fun, see and be seen.
The largest number of Beyoğlu 4-Stars is in the grid of streets called Talimhane (tah-LEEM-hah-neh) just northwest of Taksim Square. These hotels are particularly popular with travelers from Arab and Muslim countries. Some adhere to Islamic customs and do not serve alcoholic beverages, others have full beverage services.
It’s a neighborhood of relatively quiet streets (little through traffic) less than 5 minutes’ stroll from the busy square, its Metro station, buses (including the Havataş airport bus), taxis, and the northeastern end of İstiklal Caddesi, Istanbul‘s premier shopping-and-strollingavenue.
You’re also within walking distance of the Istanbul Hilton, the Hyatt Regency, Ceylan InterContinental, The Marmara, Divan Oteli and Ritz-Carlton 5-Star luxury hotels (5-10 minutes) not to mention Dolmabahçe Palace(20 minutes) and the Military Museum (15 minutes).
