4-Star Hotels, Tepebaşı, Istanbul

Tepebaşı is the district just west of southern İstiklal Caddesi in Beyoğlu (map).

Here you’ll find the nostalgic old Pera Palace Hotel, the Palazzo Corpi (formerly the American Embassy/ Consulate), the Italian and other consulates and, just to the north, the British Consulate-General.

Tepebaşı was the prime lodging area for Europeans visiting Constantinople from the late 1800s until the mid-1900s. Each of the few hotels still here has something specialto recommend it.
