A’jia Hotel
This small 16-room ultra-luxury boutique hotel is actually a restored Ottoman yalı (Bosphorus waterfront mansion) in the town of Kanlıca on the Bosphorus. Though the atmosphere recalls the charm of Ottoman times, the guest rooms are chic modern, and the views from the restaurant are spectacular. The drawback? It’s 14 miles (23 km) north of the city center, thus good for a restful retreat, but not so good for daily downtown sightseeing. More…

Swissôtel The Bosphorus
Excellent Bosphorus views (overlooking Dolmabahçe Palace), smooth service, 15-minute walk to Nişantaşı shopping and nightlife, but mostly you’ll travel by taxi. More…
More Hotel Possibilities
