Top 12 Antalya Restaurants

Last Updated on June 23, 2023

Not sure what to eat when you’re in Antalya?  Here you’ll find a list of the top restaurants in Antalya, no matter what you’re craving, whether it’s local specialties or world cuisine.

Read below to find the best places to enjoy kebap, burgers, pizza, döner, gözleme, and much more.  We didn’t forget about dessert, either.

Antalya's Top 12 Restaurants

1. Pizza Argentina

Located in Konyaaltı, Pizza Argentina is rated among the best locations to eat pizza. What sets it apart is their soft, light dough, topped with incredible flavors. Here you order by the slice, so you can even order a whole pizza, with a variety of different toppings. As the portion of each slice is quite big and filling, two pieces per person would be more than enough. Apart from that, the design of the place is very cozy and has a homely vibe, with a cute little garden at the back. It’s perfect for summer night dinners.

2. Famous Steak House & Gastro Bar

If you want to have a nice dinner somewhere in the center of Kaleiçi, but don’t want to break the bank, this place is perfect for you! They are mostly most popular for steaks, burgers, and other grilled items, but they also serve a variety of international cuisine so there is definitely something for everyone.

I really liked their BigBang Burger, which is a burger with alfredo sauce. Not only was it super delicious but the portion was quite big and filling. I would highly recommend you to give this place a try and enjoy the lively late-night vibe of Kaleiçi.

3. Meşhur Aksu Şimşek Köfteci İsa

Antalya is best known for its tahinli piyaz (white bean salad with tahini sauce) and şiş (shish) köfte. So, here I present to you the best location to have the most flavourful piyaz of Antalya. Although located a bit out of the city center, it’s worth the effort for sure. They only have these two items on the menu, as is commonplace for many restaurants in Turkey that specialize in a particular dish. This is a great option if you want to try local dishes that are found in Antalya.

4. Gazetta Brasserie & Bar

Gazetta is an Italian restaurant, located on the main street of Kaleiçi. They serve amazing pizzas of many varieties. You’ll also find antipasti dishes, pastas, salads, and much more. While you’re eating, enjoy the great atmosphere here including live music.

5. Arap Nazmi Piyaz

Arap Nazmi Piyaz is actually a şiş köfte and piyaz restaurant as well, but here I recommend you go to try their burger, Arap Burger. This burger is one of the best burgers I had around Antalya. By using juicy şiş köfte meat for their burger patties, it brings the burger to a whole new level. Definitely give it a try! If you aren’t craving a burger, you can also have piyaz, şiş köfte, Iskender kebab, chicken, and a variety of desserts.

6. Arzum Döner

Since 1984, Arzum Döner has been serving their signature yaprak döner (a type of doner that doesn’t contain minced meat). You can have döner in different ways as you prefer. One popular dish is İskender, a plate with bread topped with döner meat and tomato sauce, with melted butter poured generously on top. You can also try rice and döner. For those who like döner served like a sandwich, they also have that option. This restaurant uses high-quality meat which makes these quintessential Turkish dishes even better.

7. Dönerci Ercan

Dönerci Ercan is famous for their chicken döner. The best part of it is the bread they use, called gobit, which is similar to pita bread. If you are looking for a fast and easy lunch, you should check it out.

8. Sevgi Ana Gözleme

If you are a big fan of gözleme, you should definitely give this place a go. For those who have never heard of gozleme, it is a pastry that is folded many times and has a variety of fillings. Sevgi Ana Gözleme is famous for their giant gözleme, which comes with a variety of options such as spinach, eggplant, mixed veggies, and walnut cheese mixes. The price differs depending on the ingredients you choose to add. What’s special about their gözleme is that it is made of einkorn flour. Einkorn is an ancient grain that has a nuttier, deeper flavor, making it great for baked dishes and it adds a nice touch to the traditional gözlemes. As the portions are very big, usually it is ordered as a shared meal. One serving is enough for 2-3 people.

Being located near the Lower Düden Waterfall, makes it also fun to combine these two together.

9. Tatlıcı Fehmi Usta

Have a sweet tooth? Let me introduce you to the incredible Tatlıcı Fehmi Usta. This place has tons of different desserts served in cups, which they call spoon cakes. One of their most famous delights is the pumpkin tiramisu topped with tahini and walnuts. As you may know, Antalya’s specialty dessert is kabak tatlısı, so turning this recipe into a tiramisu is a really nice touch. Apart from that, they also have helva, a semolina dessert, with ice cream underneath, which is extremely delicious and worth trying. If you go there I would recommend you to give their mastic gum rice pudding a try, chef’s kiss!

10. Zamora

Zamora has two branches in Antalya, but I recommend going to their main location near Lara Beach. Zamora initially started as an ice cream place, serving Antalya’s specialty flavor, burnt ice cream(yanık dondurma). As their business started to grow, they decided to go bigger, and serve other various desserts, puff pastries, and breakfast menus. They also make big birthday cakes and signature profiteroles. Definitely pay them a visit, and enjoy their delicious mouth-watering sweets.

11. Gebiz Gözleme ( Tahinli Katmer)

This place is located near the city center, easy to access. As you can guess from their name, this is a Gözleme House. But what I am going to recommend you to eat here is going to be something slightly different. Since Antalya is famous for its tahini, and they love making use of it, this place has a special dish called tahinli katmer. It’s made from dough spread with tahini, oil, and sugar. It is folded again and again, which adds layers to the dough. After being baked on the gözleme stove, it turns into a flaky, buttery, crunchy pastry. It is quite big, so be sure to bring a friend or two to help you devour this heavenly dish. It’s best served with a cup of Turkish tea or coffee. Enjoy!

12. 18’in Yeri ( Bağaça)

Bağaça is a bread-like cookie, only made in Antalya. It’s also not very easy to find it here.  The one and only address where you can get it is called 18’in Yeri, located in the center of Antalya. Also known as a Ramadan cookie, it is made with flour, tahini, cinnamon, sugar, and mastic gum. It reminds me a bit of a soft gingerbread cookie, with ginger being replaced with mastic gum.

No matter which place you choose, you’re sure to find something that delights your tastebuds.  As we say in Turkish, afıyet olsun (enjoy your meal)!
