How To Take a Ferry

You can board the ferries departing from Kabataş ferry dock with your Istanbul card or contactless credit and debit cards. You can get your Istanbul card from the Biletmatik (a machine where you can buy the card) in front of the ferry port, and then top up your card.

Şehir Hatları (City Lines) operates under the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi (İBB)) and provides ferry transportation, with ferries operating across the city.

Ferries departing from Kabataş go to Kadıköy, Üsküdar, and even the Princes’ Islands (Adalar). You can learn the most up-to-date schedules and available lines on the Şehir Hatları website and plan your trip accordingly.

Dentur Avrasya Ferryboats

Dentur is a private business that also offers ferry service. You can also board these ferries at the same prices with your Istanbul card or contactless credit card. Dentur's ferry service is a smaller pier located right next to the Şehir Hatları Ferry Pier. You can go to Üsküdar and Princes’ Islands with Dentur, you can also join Bosphorus tours from here. İDO Ferryboats

İDO is one of the ferry companies that provide sea transportation between Istanbul and Bursa. You can reach Bursa by taking the ferry from the İDO section at the Şehir Hatları Pier. There are ferry schedules and fees here.

Transportation

Right across the pier is the first stop of the Kabataş - Bağcılar ferry. A little further across the road is the Kabataş - Taksim funicular. You can easily go to Taksim with this funicular and use the M2 Yenikapı - Hacıosman metro from there. You can also quickly go to Beşiktaş and Eminönü by bus from Kabataş Pier. It is so easy to access the pier with various modes of public transportation
