Erzurum Ekspresi, Ankara-Kars

The Erzurum Ekspresi departs Ankara daily at 13:30 (1:30 pm) hauling Pullman, couchette and sleeping cars.

It departs Kayseri at 20:20 (8:20 pm), Sivas at 00:20 (12:20 am), Erzincan at 06:41 am, and arrives in Erzurum at 10:49 am.

It takes another 5 hours to get to Kars, arriving at its final stop at 15:39 (3:39 pm), over 26 hours after departing from Ankara.

This is the better of the two trains on this route, the other one being the Dogu Ekspresi.

The bus is faster, and plane is much faster and recommended for this long journey.

If you're lucky, you might see a dramatic scene like this in eastern Turkey.
