Why You Need to Visit Mermerli Beach
Mermerli Beach is a dazzling lesser-known beach in the center of Antalya within the old town of Kaleiçi and is the closest spot from Tuvana Hotel (8 minute walk). It’s an attractive pebble cove for those who want to spend the day lounging in the sun or take a dip in the smooth sea to cool off. You can snorkel and check out the visible sea life such as small fish swimming around you. Before you go, understand that it is a private beach with an entrance fee. If you’re looking for a public (free) beach, you can visit Lara Beach or Konyaaltı Beach.
On Arrival
Once you arrive, there’s an entrance fee that you must pay through the restaurant to access the beach and rent towels for an additional cost. The initial fee includes the ability to use sun loungers, umbrellas, and showers.
There’s quite a bit of stairs to go down in order to reach the beach from Mermerli restaurant. It’s a great spot to stop and get pictures of the entire scenery before heading down for a sun lounger. Once you arrive, a staff member will show you which areas are available. The beach is certainly picturesque and pleasant with lovely blue waters and no harsh waves. You may see some rocks in the sea that you can sit on to relax and enjoy as well.
Where to Eat
After spending the day at the beach, you’ll probably want to grab a bite somewhere afterwards. Near the entrance of Mermerli restaurant, there are snack carts selling juices, roasted corn, and chestnuts. For dinner, Mermerli Plaji has their own restaurant with incredible views of the entire cove. Alternatively, Arma restaurant is another great spot for a nice meal. It’s an upscale establishment further down from Mermerli Beach, nestled on a cliff offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The atmosphere is elegant and classy, making it perfect for a romantic dinner in the evening. Be sure to book a table next to the sea to get the full experience. The food is delicious, yet on the pricier end. However, not only are you paying for the food and service, but also the amazing scenery!
