Antalya Aquarium

The Antalya Aquarium is one of the world’s largest aquariums, with a tunnel aquarium that is 131m (430 feet) long and 3m (10 feet) wide. The water capacity exceeds 7.5 million liters. Featuring 40 different kinds of aquariums, you can see aquatic life of all sizes. There are also various underwater planes and shipwrecks, which gives the sense of being in an underwater museum.

Visiting Information

The aquarium is open from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. Depending on your interest, 1-1.5 hours would be enough time to see what the aquarium has to offer. For ticketing information and to learn more, visit the museum’s official site.

When entering the museum, you will be guided to have your photo taken which can be purchased at the end of your visit. One entertaining activity is feeding the fish, which is especially fun for children. While going through the aquarium, there are various places where you can have a cup of coffee and something sweet to eat. Towards the end of your visit, there is a huge shop where you can buy toys, keychains, pencils, and tons of souvenirs.

Other Attractions

Usually, people who come to visit the aquarium combine it with other attractions which are located in the same large complex. These include:

  • Snowland & Ice Museum
  • Face2Face Museum
  • WildPark
  • Oceanride
  • XD Cinema

Apart from these, there are also ice cream and coffee shops, along with other restaurants.

Location

Antalya Aquarium is located a short walk from the popular Konyaaltı Beach. It is also very close to Dolphinland Aquapark and Aktur Park Amusement Park. You could easily combine these into a single trip, as no other forms of transportation will be needed to go from one to the other.

As another option, after visiting the aquarium, you can walk down to Konyaaltı Beach, refresh yourself, and finish your night off with a meal at the famous, chic restaurant, Yedinci Mehmet, or at one of the many eateries near the sea.
