Istanbul‘s Neorion Hotel is more than a comfortable travelers’ refuge in the heart of the city at Sirkeci (map). The hotel, opened in 2011, was conceived and designed to honor and reflect all of the cultures that have enriched the city and its empires.
To stay here is to learn and enjoy the cultures, cuisines, arts and traditions of all the travelers who have come before you.
The hotel’s 53 guest rooms and suites bring the past to life, with all modern comforts. The location (map) is supremely convenient: near Sirkeci Station, the Eminönü ferry docks, the Egyptian (Spice) Bazaar, the Golden Horn and Galata Bridge, and only a 10-minute walk or even shorter tram ride from Sultanahmet. Few Istanbul hotels have swimming pools, but the Neorion does, along with a hamam (Turkish bath), amassage spa, and exercise facilities: There’s also a Children’s Pool, as well as a whirlpool bath (Jacuzzi), a sauna, and two Turkish baths(hamam), a common one and a private one (by appointment). On summer evenings, the roof terrace is open and guests are encouraged to ascend to view the sun slowly settingbetween the minarets of the Süleymaniye Mosque. If the weather’s not agreeable, relax in the Living Room with a drink of your choosing from the honor bar, at reasonable prices. Room rates for the thoroughly modern, high-quality guest rooms are surprisingly moderate for what you get. When you make a reservation, please mention TTP. Here’s why.
