Nevşehir is the land transport nexus for western Cappadocia, with a busy Otogar (bus terminal) several kilometers southwest of the city center.
If you ride a bus from a distant city north, south or west of Cappadocia, you'll probably come to Nevşehir, and you'll probably continue by minibus to your final destination (a Cappadocian town such as Avanos, Göreme, Mustafapaşa, Uçhisar and Ürgüp.
