Manavgat Waterfall Antalya
Manavgat is best known for its waterfall (Manavgat Şelalesi) conveniently located near Antalya. It is definitely worth visiting because of the tranquil setting that is concealed by the beauty of nature. The cool breeze and mist from the waterfall makes it the perfect place to escape the heat of the city in the summertime. The best time to visit the waterfall is just before or after the summer period. It can be extremely congested due to the large number of tourists it attracts during peak season.
How to get there?
When you arrive in the town of Manavgat, in contrast to the city center of Antalya, you will notice that there are only mini buses available for transportation, in which you have to pay by cash. Make sure you always have cash in your pocket.
Mini buses going to the waterfall are easy to spot as they have a huge mark on them reading waterfall, in Turkish it is written as şelale. From any station, just look for buses with the word “waterfall” and you will arrive in approximately 15-20 min. The entrance fee is quite affordable, and kids under 6 enjoy free entrance.
What’s there to do?
After buying your ticket, and entering the gate, you will encounter various coffee shops, ice-cream places, souvenir shops, and so on.
For those interested, you can also have a photographer take pictures of you with or without a parrot, but that's totally optional. There are balconies from which you can take panoramic pictures.
Although you are not allowed to swim, there is a small place where you can put your feet in the water. You can also come here and have a nice picnic with your family, and enjoy your day.

As this place is surrounded by water, you can assume that the best option to go for is fish. You can eat freshly caught fish from the waterfall, and enjoy a delicious meal.
