Kavaklidere is one of Turkey’s oldest wineries, having been founded in 1929 as the first private-sector winery in the Turkish Republic.
Today it procduces 49 different wines from 550 hectares of vineyards in the Aegean region, Ankara, and Cappadocia, and has a storage capacity of 19.5 million liters.
Nearly 20% of its production is exported.
