Onur Air (codes: 8Q, OHY) is one of Turkey's newer airlines, challenging older Turkish Airlines, flying to most major Turkish airports.

I've flown with Onur Air several times, and they were fine flights: comfortable, professional, on time.

Onur's fleet of aircraft (mostly Airbus) has been flying tour groups to and from Germany and Switzerland since 1992 in association with Ten Tour, a major Turkish tour operator.

Reservations
It's not quite as easy to make reservations on Onur Air flights as it is on Turkish Airlines flights because fewer travel agencies work with Onur Air. (Two that do are Turista, right in Istanbul's Sultanahmet district; and Argeus Tourism in Cappadocia.)

Supposedly, you can make your own reservations online using the Onur Air website, but in my experience the website is so loaded with unnecessary flashing, blinking, moving things that it slows your Web browser to a crawl, and even dropping down a menu or filling in a field can take forever.

TTP users regularly send me messages about the difficulty of making a reservation on the Onur Air website. (The Turkish Airlines website is SO much better!)
